While generally regarded as a green group, we define ourselves as a grassroots group that focuses on how modern consumption patterns have detrimental effects on the environment and on the lives of both modern and tribal peoples.
The world is full of living beings of which the human race is only one species. However, our daily consumption exploits nature. Indigenous and traditional cultures recognize that they are but a part of a community of plant, animal, and spirit beings, and live in harmony with the land and the complex ecological systems upon which they depend.
Our mission is to build a sense of responsibility and stewardship, thus shifting behavior towards responsible consumption.
